[The corner of Juno's mouth quirks up ever so slightly. He lifts the bag and shakes it, raising an eyebrow.]
Hey, before you say anything, I didn't drink all of it. [At once, at least.] Besides, it's easy to just fire potshots at a wall. Takes skill to shatter a few bottles with only a few lasers.
[As they make their way out to the back alley, Juno takes out his laser pistol from a hidden shoulder holster and loads it. It seems like he's used this area for shooting practice quite a bit--there are singe marks that dot the back wall, and off to the side, a pile of glass shards and crumpled aluminum cans have been neatly swept onto a plastic tarp for easy disposal. Stacks of tires and plywood boards have been set up at differing heights, presumably to place targets.
He turns to Majima and holds out the bag.]
Here. Put as many as you wanna shoot, and I'll show you how to handle it.

a lot of bottles. ]
So this's your secret spot, huh? I always wondered what ya got up to when ya weren't on a case or takin' care of the cat.

Juno nods, focusing on the laser pistol in his hand. With a flick, he switches off the safety and puts it on stun. He hasn't switched it over in some time--doesn't seem particularly necessary. And he only uses it on humans, if anything.]
Neighbors complain about the noise, but who cares? It's not like anyone else is doing shady shit back here. And they always cower when they see a wereraccoon with a gun.
[That being said, he gestures for Majima to get behind his sightline before holding the pistol out to him.]
Not much different than a regular gun. Give it a try.

[ Majima took the pistol and gave it a once-over; the weight and feel of a gun, at least, seemed familiar to him. When he was satisfied, he dropped into a Weaver stance and squeezed off two shots.
The first went a little high, grazing the dark neck of the bottle he was aiming at. The second was straight-on, into the center of the target's mass. One might actually wonder how Majima managed to aim and hit things without any fucking depth perception, but one would have to keep wondering, because he Just Could. ]

[And, hey, Juno had to completely re-learn how to shoot after losing his eye. It's possible! Juno's ears twitch as Majima hits the targets. He nods a little, seemingly impressed.]
Not bad, not bad. But let's see if you can get three in a row, man.
Where'd you learn to shoot, anyways?
no subject
I didn't. Not at a range or anythin'.
Legality and all, y'know? Over the years, I've seen some dudes handle guns, though. So after I started getting my hands on a couple pieces, I kinda did what they did.
[ Pew pew, or whatever noises Juno's gun made. Thus far, three bottles in a row would not pose too much of a challenge. ]
no subject
Huh. I get that. Hyperion never really got around to, um, implementing gun control so...someone like me could've gotten a gun at any time.
[It was because guns were good for business, and guns made money. Same with alcohol and all other flavor of drugs. That's just how Hyperion City worked, and that was the reality of the situation for all who lived there. Especially those in Oldtown.
At least, when it still existed.]
Did I tell you I won the sharpshooting contest at the HCPD three times in a row?
no subject
Ya sure did. You're really proud of that, aren't ya?
Who'd ya beat out for the top spot? Did ya sit under a waterfall?
[ TELL HIM ABOUT THE OLD DAYS GRANDPA okay no ]

I'm just saying. I forget what I tell to some people sometimes. And, like, not to brag, but it was the chief of police, themselves.
[He puffs out his chest a little bit. It's a little nice to brag sometimes. Makes you feel like Not Shit.]
no subject
Nice job. Hope he was a good sport about it.
[ You know, because sometimes your superior was a douchebag, and of course Juno had mentioned the whole corruption angle... ]
Think you could still sharp some shots?
[ pewww there went another bottle ]
no subject
[A scoff.] Of course I can shoot some sharps. Gimme that pistol.
[He holds out a clawed hand, gesturing for Majima to hand it over. There's still a few bottles left--but he only needs a few to get the job done.]
no subject
[ Majima handed the laser pistol back to Juno quite... well, handily. Grip first. ]
Here ya are. Show those bottles who's boss!
